OUR STAFF

Melissa Moorman

Playschool Director

I was born in Atlanta, Ga., but moved to Tifton, Ga. when I was in 4th grade. My husband and I were childhood friends that reconnected after college and are getting ready to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Our son, Chad, is 7 years old and our daughter, Mary Madison, is 5 years old. Chad and Mary Madison both have grown up attending Playschool, Preschool, and church at Cumming First United Methodist Church. CFUMC church members, teachers, and staff are truly “my village” and I could not do this thing called life without them.

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading, baking, and playing Fantasy Football. I’m thrilled and honored to be a part of this exceptional program.

Rebecca McDonald

Young Toddler Teacher

I am a stay-at-home mom and live in Cumming with my husband, Steve, and three children (Charlie 9, Audrey 7, Robbie 4). I love decorating, reading, working on DIY projects around the house, and spending time with my family. I discovered this amazing playschool almost a decade ago when I was the nervous new mom bringing in her firstborn. I quickly felt at ease and now all three of my children have gone through the program. For the past 6 years, I have nannied in my home, but now that all of my children are school age I wanted to get in the classroom as well. This program has a special place in my heart and I wanted to give back to new little ones in the same way that it did for me. My family is members of Cumming First United Methodist Church.
