Imagine leaving school on Friday and not having another meal until returning to school on Monday. That’s the reality for a growing number of hungry children in our community. Backpacks of Love provides “weekend” food for children and their families in Forsyth County Schools. This special ministry serves elementary through high school aged children.

Our needs include:

• Individual snack packs of cookies
• Individual packs of cheese or peanut butter crackers
• Individual packages of chips/pretzels
• “Crunchy” granola bars
• Pop Tarts
• Fruit Cups (plastic cups)
• Fruit Chews
• Individual packages of oatmeal
• Ivory (brand only) Bar Soap
• Toothbrush & Toothpaste
• Shampoo/conditioner
• Deodorant (male & female)

Please bring all donations to the Backpacks of Love collection bin.

The IMPACT Ministry (4th & 5th Graders) pack our Backpacks of Love on Sunday Nights during IMPACT from 5:00 – 7:00.  

On the weeks our children do not pack, our adult team will pack on Thursday mornings.  If you are interested in serving, please email Anne Moncus at kids@cfumcga.com.  We will contact you with adult pack dates and times.
