The United Women in Faith (UWF) of CFUMC invites all women to join us for a Ladies Night Out for Missions. Refreshments will be provided.
Our mission will be to assemble 30, or more, Hygiene Kits for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief). Click here to see the list of needed items.

What is United Women in Faith?
United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) is a supportive, inclusive Christian membership organization where women like you grow spiritually, develop as leaders and serve and work to create a world in which all women, children, and youth thrive. United Women in Faith is celebrated as the women’s ministry of the United Methodist Church.
What does United Women in Faith do?
Our members nurture one another in community and support U.S. and international projects and partners improving the lives of women, children and youth with their prayers, volunteer and advocacy efforts, and financial gifts.

Members are women like you: women of diverse ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds; employed and unemployed; women with disabilities, housewives, and business-women; single, married, widowed, and divorced women, teen women, young women, middle-aged women, multicultural women, and retired women committed to the mission.
OUR PURPOSE
The organized unit of the United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church
CURRENT CIRCLES
MYRTIE POOLE
The earliest UWF group at CFUMC welcomes new members and visitors. Meetings start with coffee and fellowship and include a program. Projects are focused on missions.

MARY MARTHA
An active group of women, this circle offers a wide variety of programs at their meetings including a local mission project.

NAOMI RUTH
This group is a blend of women of all ages who gather for Christian fellowship and outreach to the community. Childcare is provided when arranged in advance.

NIGHTINGALES
Members are women in search of Bible study and new friendships. Although most members work during the day, we welcome anyone for whom evening meetings are the best fit. Childcare is provided when arranged in advance.

THE HAPPY KNOTTERS
This group meets to make blankets to provide a source of comfort, warmth, and love to patients entering the NGMC hospice unit. They also make “Memory Bears” for families of patients who have experienced a death.
Meets: Last Saturday of the month with some exceptions (such as the last Saturday in October,) 10:00 AM – Noon

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
A prayer shawl or other prayer item such as a square with a cross can provide warmth and comfort to someone who is ill, grieving or experiencing any other life challenge. The Prayer Shawl Ministry makes these items which provide a tangible reminder of God’s love, and the care and prayers of others.
The group also presents a prayer square to each family with a new baby; and bookmarks for Bibles presented to children of the church.
The group meets every second Saturday, 9:30 – 11:30 am.
