BIBLE STUDIES & CLASSES

Cumming First United Methodist Church has a wide variety of different Bible Studies and classes that we offer.

Women’s Bible Study

Facilitated by Rev. Gia Jones and Rev. Jane Newman-Brooks, this study for women takes place on Wednesday mornings. October 2- November 6. The study begins with a social time at 9:30 AM and study at 10 AM in Room 17.

This is a 6 week study but each session is self contained so that participants can attend when they are able to. We do ask that you register on the SignUp Genius if you plan to attend any of the sessions.

Two names of God that we have studied in our first six weeks include:

  • Yahweh Rophe – the God who heals as related to the woman at the well and
  • Jehovah Tsuri – the Lord is my rock as illustrated by Hannah, mother to Samuel.

As two examples of the final six weeks of this study, we will study:

  • Jehovah Shalom – The Lord our peace as related to Elizabeth and
  • Jehovah Mekadesh – The Lord who sanctifies as illustrated by the woman with the alabaster jar.

This study is open to all women in the church and community. We would love to have you join us in studying God’s word as we deepen our relation
