CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA, APRIL 23 – MAY 3
The General Conference of The United Methodist Church is currently meeting in Charlotte. General Conference was at first delayed because of the Covid restrictions and has since been delayed because of travel difficulty for the members from other nations. Check the column to the right for sources of information and please be in prayer as the General Conference sets the direction of the denomination for the next four years.

The 2024 Pathways to Generosity Campaign is in the final stage of receiving Estimate of Generosity cards. If you have not turned in your card yet, please do so ASAP.

GREEN TEAM SURVEY
Help our Faith Development Green Team to better understand the environmental interests, food justice, and other similar priorities of our congregation by taking our survey. Your responses will help us know better how to move forward in making a campus a green energy oasis.

Cumming First United Methodist Church has been recognized by the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce as the most active faith based organization with the most recorded volunteer service hours in the MLK Week of Service!”
Cumming First United Methodist Church was voted as “Best of Forsyth 2024” for a church or religious institution.
The Northeast District of the North Georgia Conference has presented Cumming FUMC with a check for $166,173 for communications needs ($35,400) and green energy updates ($130,773). The North Georgia Conference and Northeast District continue to believe in and support Cumming FUMC.
CFUMC IS RECONGIZED
Cumming First United Methodist Church was recognized by the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce as the most active faith based community with the most volunteer service hours during the Martin Luther King Week of Service, 2024.

UMCOR is usually one of the first organizations on the ground after a fire, a tornado, a hurricane, an earthquake, or other disasters, with food, hygiene kits and relief efforts.
