Sunday School

Adult Sunday School classes offer a place of fellowship, study, and growth as you walk your faith journey. Feel free to visit a few classes until you find a place that feels like home. All Classes meet from 9:45 – 10:45 AM on Sunday mornings unless otherwise noted.

Adult Groups

  • Christian Outlaws – Room #110

    The Christian Outlaws class is composed of members ranging in age from their 30s to 80s. The class materials consist of video series featuring renowned theologians, exploring a variety of topics, including Christian and religious history, as well as ethical and social issues.

  • Up in Cumming – Church Library

    This small group welcomes individuals in their 30s to 60s. Members support one another in their personal journeys, whether they are new to the church or have been steadfast in their faith. This welcoming group offers connection, wisdom, and fellowship.

  • Salt & Light – Room #15-16

    If you are looking for community and want to dive deeper into Scripture, Pastor Matt is leading a new adult Sunday School class. All are invited to attend. This is a drop-in class, and everyone is welcome to be part of this new beginning.

  • Gentle Souls – Room #14

    This class is for adults with special needs, ages 16 and older. The curriculum includes lessons, mission projects, and church attendance for Communion on the first Sundays of the month.

  • Life So Far – Room #109

    The Life So Far class focuses on building community through shared life experiences and relevant small-group study. Members range from their mid-30s to mid-50s and include young professionals, married couples, families, and singles. Weekly attendance is encouraged but not required, as the materials are designed to be light and easy to join at any point.

  • Mize-Dunn – Room #19

    This class includes individuals ages 50 and up. The study material is based on the NIV International Sunday School Lessons. The teaching is shared among approximately six rotating teachers, with each leading the class on a different week.

  • Seeking Answers – Room #20

    Meeting from 9:45 to 10:25 AM (before choir members depart to prepare for the 11:00 AM service), this class is made up of individuals ages 30 to 70. The study material comes from suggestions made by class members, with books focusing on faith in today's world. The approach is discussion-based and topic-driven rather than a formal Bible study.

  • Soul Sisters – Room #18

    A class for women of all ages, Soul Sisters uses Bible study materials that require minimal preparation. New members and visitors are always welcome as the group strengthens their journey of faith and deepens Christian friendships.

  • Unity – Room #17

    The Unity class meets from 10:00 to 10:45 AM and follows the Cokesbury Bible Study Series to guide their thought-provoking discussions. This class, for individuals aged 50 and up, includes both singles and couples who enjoy sharing their spiritual journeys with each other.
