Family Promise
Family Promise of Forsyth County is dedicated to changing the lives of children and families experiencing homelessness through a community-based approach. They offer a range of programs, including residential services and community-based support, to help families regain stability and independence.
CFUMC Host Weeks
Family Promise offers a “hand-up” rather than a “hand-out”, empowering families to regain stability and independence.
We host families four weeks each year at our Youth House, providing shelter, meals, and compassionate support. During each host week, we welcome 3–4 families, always including children, and walk with them on their journey toward a brighter future.
Upcoming Host Weeks:
March 29 – April 5
Oct. 4 – 11
Dec. 13 - 20
Volunteer Training
We encourage all CFUMC volunteers to complete the Family Promise Volunteer Orientation and Training, held monthly via Zoom on the first Tuesday of each month. These sessions provide an overview of Family Promise’s mission, values, and practical steps for volunteering during our host weeks.
