Randall Dyer & Associates, Opus 82, III/40, 2003
The pipe organ of Cumming FUMC was designed, built and installed by Randall Dyer & Associates of Jefferson City, TN and completed in November of 2003. It is the primary instrument used for worship on a weekly basis. It contains four divisions – Great, Swell, Choir and Pedal – and approximately 2330 individual pipes. The organ contains complete Principal Choruses on all manuals, chorus reeds on all manuals, and two sets of strings. Mechanically, the organ has a record/playback system, piston sequencer and transposer. There are 10 general pistons, six divisional pistons for each manual and 8 reversibles with 99 levels of memory available. After the initial installation, the organ was augmented with a digital package built by the Walker Technical Corporation and including the three stops in the 32’ series as well as the three percussions. The organ is also prepared for an antiphonal division to be installed at the opposite end of the church at some point in the future.
