Support Groups

It is the desire of Cumming First UMC to meet the needs of individuals in all walks of life and situations. Below is a list of Support Groups that we currently offer. If you do not see a group that fits your specific need, we are always willing to talk with you and direct you to people who can help you in your life journey. If there is not individual contact information listed, call the church office at 770-887-2900.

PRAYER MINISTRY

Intercessory Prayer is a vital ministry of the church. The very essence of the Intercessory Prayer Ministry is to provide anyone in crisis a group to turn to for prayer. If you would like to request prayer for yourself or a loved one, email prayer@cfumcga.com to leave a prayer request. For confidential prayer requests, please contact one of the clergy directly: Rev. Dr. Matt Stewart, Rev. Gia Jones, Rev. Fede Apecena

STEPHEN MINISTRY

We are brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. However, that is not God’s plan. God wants us to care for others and allow others to care for us in our time of need. Do not struggle alone.

If you or someone you know could benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister email Rev. Gia Jones or call at 770-887-2900 ext. 213 (all calls are confidential).
