StephenA Ministry of Lay Caring

Thinking of becoming a Stephen Minister?  Contact Penny Waters  through the church office.  Are you in a place that you need some one to talk to? Contact either Penny Waters, 770-781-5631, or via the church office or Rev. Kathie Stasko at kstasko@cfumcga.com.

  • A ministry for disabled/special needs adults 16 years and up
  • Meets at 4:00 the 3rd Saturday of every month in the Children’s wing of the church
  • Group activities, crafts, music and a meal
  • Children welcome


  • College Care Pals is a team of church members who care about our young adults in college.  We celebrate our graduates each year but College Care Pals are people who take time out to pray and encourage students during all those days between being a Freshman and becoming a graduate!
  • College Care Pals are asked to be in prayer for a student and to write e-mails and send a card now and then.  You could even send a favorite snack or gift card during finals week

Happy Knotters

  • A ministry supporting the Northeast Georgia Hospice by making and donating fleece blankets for patients entering hospice care.  We proudly create military-themed blankets for our country’s veterans.
  • No sewing skills necessary
  • Meets at 9:00 am the last Saturday of every month in room 15 underneath the sanctuary
  • Childcare is not available

  • A ministry supporting families and their loved ones during difficult times
  • Meets Thursday evenings at 7:00 in room 15 underneath the sanctuary
  • Childcare is not available
