Blood Drive

In the last month, the need for blood products in Georgia has gone up.  As evacuees from hospitals affected by hurricanes have come into our area, many have lost their collected blood from lack of refrigeration due to power outages, or lost their ability to collect blood. In response to this, Cumming First United Methodist Church is doing a blood drive on October 29, 2017.

Cumming First UMC is partnering with Life South, the number one supplier of blood to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, to have a blood drive on Sunday, October 29th, from 8-2 pm to help recover blood supplies that are critically low in our area.  Donating blood takes about an hour, and you get fed cookies and juice, while relaxing on an air-conditioned bus with padded recliners. Please invite you friends and family to take advantage of this opportunity.

Please come and help supply blood so we can reschedule missed surgeries, support the sick and the injured, and re-establish our blood supply that is needed every day to help our neighbors.  If you have questions, please contact Andy Robinson at robinsonnynomads@yahoo.com.
